When I saw your rain illustrations, I immediately thought of this book. It is available at the Somerset Public Library. I read it doing research early on. There is an exercise in making calligraphic rain.

Had to flip some colors to match the postcards markup.
I will be taking photos of each students work the night before to upload to their pages content.

Not sure if I want crit at the moment. Would prefer crit once it is further along. Just showing work in progresss. The site is still in development. Once I have subpages coded, I will upload the screenshots.

newer monogram concept

This somewhat locks me into web, but then again, I think the future is. It is based on " @ " and my initials " JM ". Reworking the strokes thicks/thins at the moment. This is obviously just a concept sketch in marker, no final product. The benefit of this form is the ability to render is freehand at will.

hi, so i uploaded the whole page so you could see my process and thinking. The identity in the bottom of the box is what I was thinking. The whole box would be the sticker that closes my packaging. (the cake dish image came from my icon I made for our show programs. I thought it would be nice to tie it all together but just an idea.)
